Principal UX Designer

Overview As Principal UX Designer you will lead the user experience strategy for Striim’s next-generation data modernization and AI platform. You will transform complex data workflows into scalable, intuitive experiences for enterprise users, shaping product direction across teams. You’ll drive design execution hands-on while guiding cross-functional partners to align on a shared UX vision. This role offers meaningful impact by simplifying real-time data integration, streaming, and agent-based AI interactions at scale. Compensation / Benefits Competitive salarypre-IPO stock options Comprehensive health care plans Retirement plan (401K)Paid Time Off Culture focused on growth and engagement Responsibilities Define and champion the UX vision across real-time data streaming, data integration, and AI products Establish and scale design systems, interaction standards, and UX best practices Lead user research, usability testing, and feedback loops to inform roadmap and iteration Collaborate with Product Management to translate goals into intuitive journeys and features Partner with Engineering to incorporate feasibility and performance constraints into UX solutions Design experiences for data pipeline configuration, monitoring, observability, governance, and AI-driven insights Develop enterprise-grade UX patterns addressing access control, security, compliance, and multi-environment deployments Contribute to product positioning and GTM alignment to support adoption and expansion Define and track UX metrics to measure impact and drive improvement Advocate for accessibility, performance, and inclusive design across digital touchpoints Key requirements 8+ years in UX design with 3+ years in a senior/principal capacity Proven experience in complex B2B enterprise software, preferably data modernization/infrastructure/AI platforms Strong portfolio showing simplification of complex workflows into scalable experiences Expertise with AI-powered design tools to accelerate workflows and prototype AI-native interactions Deep understanding of UX research, information architecture, design systems Cross-functional collaboration with Product, Engineering, and GTM teams Strong communication to present strategy and influence leadership Experience with enterprise customers and integrating field feedback Eligible to work hybrid from Palo Alto, CAexcellent communicationstakeholder influencecollaborationUX design for enterprise softwaredesign systemsuser research methodologies
