About the role

Overview In this role you will design and lead Atlas's Technical Training & Qualifications COE, spanning Power, Sand, and Logistics. You will set standards, tools, and governance to continuously develop the technical workforce. You will partner with cross-functional teams to translate critical work into practical training and qualification pathways. This is a strategic role within the workforce resilience effort, aimed at expanding qualified bench strength and reducing tribal knowledge. You will shape scalable programs that support growth and evolving technologies. Compensation / Benefits 100% covered Medical, Dental, and Vision 401K with company match, immediate vesting Paid time off (non-rotational roles)15+ company paid holidays Responsibilities Build and lead the Technical Training & Qualifications COE across Power, Sand, and Logistics. Establish standards, methodologies, tools, and processes for technical training and qualifications. Develop scalable programs aligned with growth, new facilities, and changing technologies. Create role-based skills matrices and qualification pathways. Define competency assessment, certification, refresher, and requalification standards. Provide visibility into training/qualification status and gaps. Develop practical, role-based training with SMEs and translate SOPs into training requirements. Create onboarding pathways from hire to qualified performance. Decide internal development, vendor, or external partnerships for programs. Identify capability gaps and implement cross-training and multi-skilling. Collaborate with Talent, Workforce Planning, Safety, Engineering, and Ops to capture critical knowledge. Lead program management for Power, Sand, and Logistics training programs; manage the enterprise roadmap. Partner on LMS, simulation, digital learning, AI, and scalable training solutions. Define measures: time to qualification, coverage, gaps, cross-training, training effectiveness, and readiness. Key requirements 8+ years in technical training, qualifications, workforce development, operations, or related field. Proven experience building, scaling, or transforming a technical training or qualification function. Experience establishing competency-based training, skills matrices, and qualification pathways or similar systems. Experience in energy, power, industrial operations, manufacturing, logistics, mining, or field operations is strongly preferred. Strong understanding of adult learning, instructional design, and competency-based methodologies. Experience with Learning Management Systems and learning technologies. Strong program management and process development capabilities. Ability to influence across Operations, Safety, Engineering, HR, Talent & Culture, and SMEs. Ability to translate complex technical work into scalable, measurable training programs. Strong analytical skills linking training outcomes to performance.
