Manager, Technical Training

Overview You will design and continually improve technical training programs for service teams, OEM partners, and customers in parcel logistics and automation. You’ll lead a team of trainers, align learning plans with business priorities, and drive readiness for launches and deployments. The role blends hands-on instruction with documentation and governance to boost safety, uptime, and field execution. Responsibilities Develop and continuously improve the technical training strategy, roadmap, and delivery model for internal service teams, OEM partners, and end-user customers across parcel logistics and automation Build and lead a team of technical trainers to ensure high-quality delivery and effective knowledge transfer Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Project Management, Engineering, Operations, Field Service, Customer Service, Safety, HR) to align training with business priorities Lead training readiness for product launches, implementations, go-lives, and service transitions Create onboarding, certification, refresher, and advanced trainings for diverse audiences Deliver classroom, virtual, on-site, and hands-on training on automation systems and equipment Establish standardized curricula, role-based learning paths, and trainer qualification requirements Develop and maintain clear training materials including SOPs, e-learning modules, videos, job aids, and manuals Create and govern technical documentation and a knowledge base Track training costs, participation, completion, and outcomes; measure effectiveness with LMS data and KPIsIdentify training gaps and coordinate corrective actions with leadership Ensure compliance with company standards, safety expectations, and regulatory guidelines (OSHA where applicable)Travel up to 50% domestically Perform other duties as assigned Key requirements Experience designing and delivering technical training in logistics, warehouse automation, or field service environments Strong understanding of supply chain operations and automation systems Ability to translate complex concepts into learner-friendly training Hands-on equipment training experience across multiple settings Proficiency in safety practices and OSHA-aligned training expectations Strong technical writing skills for SOPs, manuals, and tutorials Proficiency with Microsoft Office, LMS, Articulate or Captivate, Visio, Adobe Acrobat Experience with content governance, version control, and knowledge bases Data-driven training evaluation experience using LMS analytics and KPIsExcellent project management and stakeholder management skills Ability to travel up to 50%Bachelor’s degree in relevant field; at least 5 years hands-on experience in parcel logistics, industrial automation, or field service; professional certification(s) such as CSCP, CLTD, Lean Six Sigma, OSHA, CTT+, ATD Instructional Design, or related certificationsexcellent verbal and written communicationcollaboration and cross-functional teamworkadaptability and coachingLMS analytics and training evaluation Articulate or Captivate (e-learning authoring)Visio
