Overview
As Sr. Director of Strategic Planning, you will translate long-range vision into near-term priorities for SCS sub-segments and lead cross-functional strategy initiatives. You’ll partner with segment leaders and Strategy & Transformation to stress-test options and shape macro direction. You’ll drive annual planning, provide market insights, and enable faster, higher-quality strategic decisions for senior leadership. This role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution, with visibility to senior leaders and a meaningful impact on healthcare outcomes.

Responsibilities Develop macro-level strategic direction for SCS sub-segments (Strategic Accounts, Health Mart, CPH, Specialized Care Pharmacy) and translate insights into where-to-play and how-to-win choices Shape SCS long-range (3–5 year) strategy in collaboration with segment leaders and Strategy & Transformation Establish structured decision frameworks, synthesize recommendations, and provide scenario-based perspectives for key choices Collaborate with corporate strategy, finance, and business units to build a consolidated view for annual priority setting Lead annual priority planning sessions with SCS leadership and articulate strategic options, trade-offs, and investment directions Steer strategic direction of annual priority initiatives, defining scope and critical choices for execution Generate actionable insights on market trends, competitive dynamics, and risks/opportunities to inform priorities Manage end-to-end primary research projects and translate findings into senior leadership recommendations
Key requirements 10+ years of strategy or consulting experience or relevant healthcare industry experience Strong strategic thinking with ability to assess trends and define actionable strategies Analytical rigor to structure ill-defined problems and synthesize insights Executive presence and clear communication to influence senior leaders Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority Independent, self-directed work style in ambiguous environments Versatility across diverse project types and strategic questions Healthcare industry familiarity with stakeholders, trends, and policy dynamics Executive presence Cross-functional collaboration Ambiguity tolerance Strategic planning Market intelligence and competitive analysis Structured problem solving and scenario planning
