Senior Fullstack Engineer, Energy Sales Systems

Overview In this role you will help build a platform to automate pricing, forecasting, and contracting for large industrial energy customers. You will work to scale our energy tech product, enabling rapid expansion into new markets while collaborating with stakeholders to define what to build. You will shape end-to-end product delivery—from data modeling and backend to frontend and product design—within a startup environment. Compensation / Benefits Continuing Education Opportunities Flexible PTOMedical, Dental and Vision plans with competitive employer contributions Pre-Tax commuter benefits Charitable donation matching Home Office Stipend Responsibilities Automate pricing, forecasting, and contracting processes on our platform Scale processing of large-scale usage data and complex contract representations Lead end-to-end product development from specs to UI/UX and backend Gather requirements from stakeholders and translate them into actionable tasks Support rapid market expansion by handling new datasets, utilities, and pricing rules Design robust schemas, implement data queries, and ensure observability and performance Key requirements Strong Python backend skills with production debugging, alerting, and performance profiling Experience working with large, messy data and designing good data schemas Ability to gather requirements from stakeholders and translate into product/technical specs Comfort in a startup environment with ambiguity and autonomous prioritization Experience engineering in the energy domain or with energy datasets is valuable but not explicitly required Stakeholder collaboration Rapid learning and adaptability Problem-solving with data-driven approaches Python backend development Data modeling and SQL-like querying Handling large-scale time-series data
