Senior Oracle & PostgreSQL Database Engineer

Overview In this role you design, build, and optimize enterprise database and application solutions to support high-volume trading post-processing. You’ll work with cross-functional teams on modernization efforts, including cloud adoption and platform resiliency, delivering reliable, scalable data-centric systems. You contribute to critical post-trade platforms and drive performance improvements in large-scale environments. Compensation / Benefitscompetitive compensationcomprehensive health and life insurancepension / retirement benefits Paid Time Off and family leaveflexible/hybrid work model Responsibilities Design, develop, and optimize Oracle and PostgreSQL database solutions Build and support high-volume OLTP systems Develop data models, SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, views, and objects Collaborate with application teams using Java, JDBC, JMSSupport cloud-first modernization with AWS and cloud-native practices Manage database changes and deployments with Liquibase, Git, Git Hub Tune performance, troubleshoot, and perform root-cause analysis Enable data integration via APIs, SFTP, ETL/ELT, and replication Ensure data quality, security, resiliency, and operational reliability Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and delivery with Jira Collaborate with engineers, architects, product owners, and business partners Mentor junior team members and promote engineering best practices Key requirements 8+ years in software engineering, database development, or related roles Experience with enterprise-scale, high-volume transactional applications Strong Oracle development experience (preferably 19c+)Hands-on PostgreSQL in production Advanced SQL and PL/SQL development Java development experience (JDBC, JMS)Linux/Unix environment and shell scriptingcollaborationproblem-solvingcommunication Oracle 19c+PostgreSQLSQL / PL/SQL
