Analyst, Senior Data Engineering

Overview As a Python Software Engineer in the Big Data and Advanced Analytics team, you will build reliable software that supports data science workflows in oil and gas midstream operations. You’ll design scalable microservices and data pipelines, collaborating with data engineers and scientists to turn analytics into production-ready tools. Your work will emphasize maintainability, quality, and repeatable processes aligned with Dev Ops and CI/CD practices. This role offers the chance to apply ML-enabled solutions to real-world energy problems at scale. Responsibilities Develop and maintain data pipelines and software components to support analytics use cases Design and implement fault-tolerant microservices Collaborate with Data Engineers and Data Scientists to translate analytics into production-ready software Document code, architecture decisions, and ensure code quality, testing, and test coverage Implement processes to enforce coding standards, documentation, and maintainable solutions Build API endpoints and microservices to expose analytics functionality Leverage Python data engineering packages and distributed computing concepts Key requirements 5+ years of Python programming experience Expertise in developing and maintaining data pipelines Experience with Design Principles and Patterns, Unit Testing, Refactoring, CI/CD, and version control Proficiency in Object-Oriented and Functional Programming Experience with Pandas, Numpy, Pyarrow, Pytest, Scikit-Learn, and Boto 3 Experience in distributed computing systems Knowledge of Dev Ops principles Experience in designing modular, reusable software components Experience in developing API endpoints and microservicescollaboration with cross-functional teamsattention to code quality and documentationadaptability and problem-solving Python Pandas Numpy
