Sr Lead Software Engineer (ON-SITE)

Overview In this role you will lead the design and development of scalable, secure Java/Spring Boot applications on AWS for Broadridge’s print and customer communications platforms. You’ll champion cloud-native microservices, containerization with Docker, and modernization of legacy systems. You’ll collaborate with product teams to shape roadmaps and drive rapid, quality software delivery with AI-assisted tooling. This is a hybrid, high-impact leadership role focused on solving complex, scalable problems at scale. Responsibilities Lead design and development of scalable, secure applications using Java, Spring Boot, AWSBuild and deploy microservices with Java/Spring Boot; containerize with Docker; deploy on AWS and on‑prem Collaborate with product/business to define roadmaps and align technical direction Drive modernization of legacy apps toward microservices, APIs, and cloud-native platforms Leverage AI tools to accelerate software delivery with quality Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineers on best practices Improve CI/CD, testing automation, observability, and operational reliability Key requirements 8+ years of software engineering experience with technical leadership Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIsExperience with AWS and containerized deployments (Docker)Experience with EKS, ECS, Fargate, CI/CD, and Dev Ops practices Secure coding practices; relational databases; SQL; Oracle PL/SQL a plus Excellent organizational and communication skills Familiarity with AI-assisted development toolsleadershipmentorshipstrong communication Java Spring Bootmicroservices
