Training and Development Advisor II

Overview In this role you lead the design, delivery, and assessment of outcome-based training for defined client groups within the oil & gas sector. You will manage capability management processes to ensure a competent workforce and drive continuous improvement in training. The role involves coordinating training plans, maintaining records, and guiding change-management training needs. You will work with cross-functional teams to shape development programs and participate in industry advisory activities. This position offers a hybrid schedule in Houston with meaningful impact on workforce readiness and compliance. Responsibilities Create, review, update, and approve competencies mapped to the client group Plan and lead execution of training processes for defined competencies Build and manage Learning Plans in the LMSSource and manage resources for training content development Lead competency assurance activities for client group staff Support management of change processes with training needs assessments Maintain accurate training and competency records Develop and implement an Annual Training Plan for the client group Conduct internal assessments and compliance verification Facilitate training delivery when required Participate on industry advisory groups as assigned Key requirements Degree in adult learning or a related technical field 4-7 years of leadership and/or training development experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills Competent user of Microsoft Office Programs Experience with Articulate 360 Suite (including Storyline and RISE)Experience as a classroom facilitatorstrong coaching skills Articulate 360 Suite (Storyline, RISE)Learning Management System (LMS) management Content development for training programs Competency management processes Microsoft Office proficiency
