Senior Platform Engineer

Overview In this Senior Platform Engineer role at Lingo, you will own and improve Abbott’s cloud infrastructure and reliability practices. You’ll operate as a hands-on contributor to Dev Ops/SRE, partnering with global teams to ensure a scalable, secure platform on Azure. You’ll shape CI/CD, observability, and disaster recovery while promoting best practices across engineering groups. Compensation / Benefits Free medical coverage through Health Investment Plan (HIP PPO)High-employer-contribution retirement plan Tuition reimbursement Freedom 2 Save student debt program FreeU education benefit Global recognition as a great place to work Responsibilities Build, provision, and maintain Azure infrastructure using IaC with Terraform or Bicep Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation Contribute to SRE practices including defining SLOs/SLIs and on-call support Monitor incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive remediations Develop observability tooling ( dashboards, log pipelines, tracing, metrics)Implement cloud security controls with Security team (IAM, networking, compliance)Support disaster recovery and backup processes to meet RTOsCollaborate with product teams to onboard them to platform tooling and streamline production readiness Document infrastructure, runbooks, and deployment procedures for a distributed team Key requirements 5+ years in cloud infrastructure, Dev Ops, or platform engineering in production Hands-on Azure experience across compute, networking, storage, identity services Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or Bicep) and building reusable modules Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure Dev Ops, Git Hub Actions)Understanding of SRE principles (SLOs, alerting, on-call, incident response)Experience with observability tooling for monitoring, logging, and tracing Basic cloud security knowledge (IAM, network security, secrets management)Strong communication and cross-time-zone collaboration skillsstrong communicationcollaboration across time zonesproblem-solving mindset Azure cloud services Terraform or Bicep Azure Dev Ops
