Deployment Network Specialist (Tech Specialist 4)

Overview In this role, you will join the Security and Electronic Systems unit to support on-site deployment and go-live testing of secure networks for federal, local, and commercial customers. You’ll conduct on-site surveys, assist with pre-install/configuration activities, and perform hands-on implementation at client sites. You’ll document deployments and help refine processes for future implementations. This is a travel-heavy, 100% on-site role focused on building and maintaining resilient, secure network systems. Compensation / Benefitscompetitive salary Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance 401k Retirement Plan Paid time off Tuition reimbursement Paid maternity leave Responsibilities Support O&M Network Engineer in pre-install, on-site deployment and go-live testing Perform on-site network surveys and assist with infrastructure configuration and testing Execute hands-on deployment at customer sites Create and maintain deployment documentation and revisions Provide feedback to improve future deployments Configure, troubleshoot and manage network security across multi-enclave environments Install routers, switches, firewalls and encryption appliances Document network diagrams, rack elevations, and cable drawings Key requirements Bachelor Degree in Engineering Field and 7+ years in networking OR 12+ years in networking Strong communication skills and experience using ticketing systems DoD 8140 Cyberspace Workforce Qualification Certification for Intermediate level Network Operations Specialist (DCWF Code 441)Must have valid driver’s license and ability to obtain passport for international travel Ability to identify cable colors, markings or labelsclear written and verbal communicationability to learn new technologies quicklyprocess development and following standard operating procedures Networking equipment deployment and configurationCLI-based device management Experience with AWS and Azure cloud environments (IL-2+ a plus)
