Business Transformation Project Manager

Overview In this role you drive cross-functional programs that lift operational performance and manufacturing capability, aligning with Zygo’s pursuit of precision and innovation. Compensation / Benefitscompetitive compensationretirement (401k)paid time offhealth benefits (implicit) Responsibilities Lead cross-functional projects and transformation initiatives to support operational excellence and manufacturing performance Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, resource needs, risk mitigation, and governance Ensure timely delivery within budget and aligned with strategic objectives Partner with leaders to implement initiatives improving productivity, quality, capacity, lead time, inventory management, and cost performance Monitor outcomes and realize operational and financial benefits Promote standardized project management and continuous improvement across the organization Coordinate facility, infrastructure, manufacturing expansion, and capital investment projects Support manufacturing transfers, footprint optimization, capacity planning, and multi-site improvement initiatives Minimize disruption to ongoing operations during project execution Collaborate cross-functionally to drive project success, facilitate decision-making, and manage governance Build alignment and accountability across diverse stakeholder groups for change adoption Key requirements Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations, business or related field 7+ years of project, program, operations, engineering, or manufacturing leadership experience; multi-site experience or transformations preferred Proven success leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives in manufacturing or industrial settings Strong project planning, budgeting, risk management, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills Proficiency with project management methodologies and tools; PMP certification or equivalent preferred Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Operational Excellence, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies Direct experience with facility modernization, manufacturing expansion, capital projects, cleanroom environments, or highly regulated manufacturing environments is a plus Strategic planning Change management Cross-functional collaboration Project management methodologies and tools Lean Manufacturing Six Sigma
