Lean Practitioner

Overview In this onsite role, you lead Lean transformation at the Portage manufacturing site, shaping lean strategy and developing capability across leaders. You will deploy lean programs, set KPIs with business units, and ensure a sustainable operating rhythm. You drive execution and scale lean through people development, balancing strategy with hands-on improvement. This position offers a meaningful mix of strategy, mentoring, and measurable impact on site performance and quality. Responsibilities Lead lean strategy deployment aligned with site priorities and global initiatives Collaborate with business unit leaders to establish KPIs and drive improvements via lean principles Develop and execute site strategy to achieve organizational alignment Ensure effective supporting operating rhythm for lean deployment Deliver business outcomes and scalable lean capabilities through principled execution Develop high-performing lean leaders across the site Promote a culture of continuous improvement through cross-functional collaboration Implement and improve the Stryker lean toolkit and teach lean tools Train employees at all levels on lean principles and tools Partner with supervisors to develop change management strategy and drive organizational change Facilitate communication to ensure successful adoption of lean practices Establish and monitor systems for tracking progress and impact of lean initiatives Review and adjust strategies based on performance data Ensure lean transformation complies with industry standards and promotes safety and quality Key requirements Bachelor in technical or operational background 8+ years of post-graduate experience 5+ years in Lean manufacturing transformations Proven practitioner experience in Lean across operations and transactional environments Proficiency in change management and strategy development Strong leadership, communication, and change management skills Ability to manage risk, schedule, budget, and resources for large, milestone-driven projects Proven ability to work in a matrix organization and partner at all levelsleadershipcommunicationchange management Lean toolkit Standard Work Daily Management
