Overview
In this role, you will lead sophisticated market research campaigns to uncover opportunities, monitor industry trends, and inform strategic decisions. You will partner with cross-functional teams to ensure insights shape go-to-market plans and business growth. Expect to manage complex datasets and coach teammates while acting as a strategic consultant to senior partners. You’ll operate at the intersection of research and business impact, advancing Travelers’ market position and brand. This is a leadership-forward role with high visibility and impact.

Responsibilities Lead and oversee complex secondary research using diverse sources and resolving conflicting data Synthesize findings into clear, actionable insights to support decision-making Develop research projects, proposals, data specs, and final reports; present findings to internal partners Manage timelines and resources across multiple projects with minimal oversight Assess data accuracy and quality against standards Possibly serve as Engagement Lead or member of an Engagement Team for multiple businesses Monitor team performance and provide coaching and feedback Perform additional duties as assigned
Key requirements 6 or more years of market research or related experience 1 or more years of leadership/management experience Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, economics, mathematics, psychology, anthropology or comparable analytical fieldMBA, Master of Research, or other advanced degree(s)Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products Proven ability to communicate clearly to diverse audiences Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills Knowledge of business and/or insurance concepts; Financial Services/P&C experience Advanced experience in secondary research: market sizing, competitive intelligence, trends analysis, economic/financial analysis Ability to analyze multiple, disparate data sets to derive actionable insightscommunication skillscollaborationself-motivation Microsoft Officesecondary research methodologiesmarket sizing
