Overview
In this role, you will lead Tax learning strategy and instructional design, partnering with cross-functional teams to align training with regulatory and business needs. You’ll steward the Tax learning program, ensure quality and scalability of solutions, and guide onboarding and ongoing development for tax professionals. You will drive continuous improvement through analytics while managing budgets and vendor partnerships. Responsibilities Serve as strategic learning partner to Tax leadership, People & Culture, Innovation, and international teams to ensure learning solutions align with business needs and technology adoption. Lead Tax learning strategy, roadmap, and annual curriculum planning to address technical, regulatory, onboarding, and professional development needs. Oversee the Tax service line training program with SME coordination, quality oversight, and execution accountability to support Tax priorities. Oversee design, development, implementation, and evaluation of scalable Tax learning solutions using sound instructional design practices. Conduct learning needs analyses, task analyses, and stakeholder discovery to identify performance gaps and recommend solutions. Provide leadership to Tax learning staff, including prioritization, coaching, and quality review; manage onboarding and learning pathways for various learner audiences. Oversee Tax learning operations, compliance, and reporting (CPE, NASBA) and full program lifecycle; manage budget and investments with stakeholders. Lead vendor and build-versus-buy strategy for Tax learning, including research, relations, contracts, adoption, and reporting. Coordinate SME reviewers, instructors, and client-facing contributors to maintain learning quality while optimizing billable time. Champion continuous improvement using feedback, analytics, and stakeholder input; measure program effectiveness and inform ongoing improvements. Ensure Tax learning solutions are scalable and accessible across offices and remote/international resources, including self-study and asynchronous learning.
Key requirements Bachelor's degree 4+ years of progressive learning experience, especially instructional design Familiarity with CPE and regulatory compliance requirements Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and relationship-building skills Demonstrated leadership and coaching abilities Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills Experience designing and implementing technical/regulatory training curricula (e.g., annual tax training)strong communicationrelationship-buildingleadership and coachinginstructional designcurriculum developmentlearning analytics / evaluation
