Director, Enterprise Planning & Portfolio Management (SAP SAC / SAP EPPM)

Overview In this role you lead the enterprise planning transformation at Xcel Energy, focusing on SAP analytics and portfolio management to align planning with corporate strategy and S/4HANA transformation. You guide capital and operating expense governance, and workforce planning within a broader mission of reliability, affordability, and clean energy transition. You’ll partner across functions to standardize planning processes, drive modernization, and enable AI-enabled decision support. Compensation / Benefits Annual Incentive Program Long Term Incentive Medical/Pharmacy Plan Dental Vision 401(k) plan Responsibilities Lead end-to-end SAP SAC & EPPM delivery, including strategy, design, build, testing, deployment, and stabilization Develop and maintain a five-year enterprise planning and capital portfolio roadmap aligned with corporate goals Standardize project governance, capital forecasting, scheduling, and financial performance tracking Manage executive-facing communications on progress, risks, priorities, and value realization Drive organizational change, governance structures, training, and operating models for planning adoption Partner with data/analytics teams to build scalable, AI-ready planning and forecasting capabilities Foster cross-functional collaboration with Finance, Operations, HR, Supply Chain, Regulatory, and ITOversee vendor and SI relationships, scope management, and accountability for outcomes Support integration between SAC, EPPM, S/4HANA, data platforms, and reporting environments Promote predictive forecasting, dashboards, analytics, and scenario modeling Key requirements Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field 10+ years of progressive leadership in large-scale ERP, enterprise planning, or digital transformation 5+ years leading enterprise SAP implementations or major transformation programs Experience implementing or managing SAP SAC, SAP EPPM, SAP BPC, SAP S/4HANA, or related planning technologies Proven success leading large cross-functional teams and enterprise-wide initiatives Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills Experience managing large consulting/vendor partnerships and enterprise program budgetsexecutive communicationstakeholder managementcross-functional collaborationSAP SACSAP EPPMSAP BPC
