Overview Lead and mentor a high-performing observability team responsible for enterprise platforms. Define the strategy, standards, and roadmap for monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting, and dashboards. Drive reliability programs, incident readiness, and operational excellence while collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve system health. Advocate AI-assisted workflows and AI-driven monitoring to boost efficiency and proactive problem management. Shape scalable observability practices that enable rapid troubleshooting and business-critical service reliability. Responsibilities Lead and mentor a team of observability engineers Define and execute observability strategy, standards, and roadmap Oversee monitoring, logging, alerting, tracing, and dashboards Drive service reliability and incident response readiness Collaborate with application, infrastructure, cloud, and SRE teams to improve health and performance Establish KPIs, SLAs, and operational metrics Manage hiring, performance development, resource planning, and stakeholder communications Promote best practices for observability, automation, and proactive problem management Champion AI and Copilot-enabled workflows within Observability Evaluate and implement AI-driven monitoring, alert correlation, and incident management capabilities Partner with engineering to build intelligent operational dashboards and automated remediation solutions Key requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field 10+ years in infrastructure, operations, SRE, platform engineering, or observability 3+ years of people management experience Strong knowledge of observability platforms (Splunk, Datadog, App Dynamics, Dynatrace, Grafana, Prometheus, Open Telemetry)Experience with cloud environments (Azure & GCP)Experience leveraging Copilot, Generative AI, and AI-powered observability Knowledge of AI-assisted troubleshooting, anomaly detection, root cause analysis, and predictive monitoring Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skillsleadershipstakeholder managementcommunication Splunk Datadog App Dynamics
