Overview
In this role you will develop high-quality training content for wholesale customers, focusing on product knowledge, equipment operation and technical skills. You will collaborate with internal teams and external experts to deliver engaging training that improves customer experience and sales. You will measure adoption, maintain curricula, and leverage learning technologies to scale impact across NAPA Autotech. This is a hands-on role in a large organization with a clear emphasis on results and industry engagement.
Responsibilities Assess training needs through interviews, surveys and on-site visits with managers, store owners, employees and customers Collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts to ensure training solutions support best practices Identify and utilize quality training development resources within budget Maintain existing training solutions using current techniques and technology Leverage technology for development, production and delivery of training (e.g., software, Internet, webcasts, simulations, VR)Ensure training solutions are customer-driven through needs assessment and formal surveys Establish and track effectiveness metrics and adjust approaches accordingly Ensure technical accuracy through a formal review process Coordinate communication and administrative duties related to curriculum development Define roles and accountability for instructors and SMEsAlign training solutions with APG initiatives with other departments and suppliers Engage industry experts and authors for training solutions Follow best practices in assessment, development, pilot, execution and evaluation Follow best practices in formatting and publishing to NAPA standards Develop and maintain structured curriculum tracks and utilize LMSSeek opportunities to engage with industry and training groups Perform other duties including involvement with ASE, Automotive Training Group, AAA
Key requirements 5 - 7 years of experience in sales, sales training, parts or wholesale customer operations, training program development Large project management experience with PM tools Undergraduate degree in related fields preferred Experience in large organizations in a training/learning environment Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) and learning development tools (Articulate, Captivate, video/audio/graphical programs)Willing to travelstrong communicationcollaboration/teamworkanalytical thinkingMS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)Articulate Captivate
