Overview You will lead scalable, secure AWS cloud infrastructure initiatives at Mod Med, focusing on data streaming, database architecture, or AWS applications development. Your technical leadership will shape our cloud foundation, enable rapid production deployments, and improve system reliability. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor engineers, and drive best practices for security and observability in a fast-growing healthcare platform. Compensation / Benefitscomprehensive health benefits 401(k) with company match up to 6%paid time off and parental leavelife and disability benefitstuition reimbursement and Linked In Learninghybrid/remote options and dog-friendly HQ Responsibilities Develop standardized, secure cloud infrastructure and guardrails for rapid production deployment with self-service for developers Lead strategy in data streaming (Kafka), database (Aurora, RDS, NoSQL), or AWS apps development for microservices on Kubernetes Implement monitoring and observability using Data Dog to enable proactive issue detection Create reusable IaC modules with Terraform or Ansible to minimize manual config Ensure AWS security compliance (SOC2/HIPAA) while balancing cost Mentor engineers and foster technical leadership across teams Engage in architectural white-boarding and cross-functional planning from HQ in Boca Raton Key requirements 8+ years in Cloud/SRE or related field with large-scale AWS experience Extensive AWS services experience (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, Route 53) or equivalent in another cloud Deep proficiency with Terraform, Helm, and cloud-native tech Proficiency in Python, Java, Node, Go, or similar Hands-on Kubernetes experience at scale Expertise in at least one area: streaming, databases, or AWS app development Occasional on-call availability for production issuesmentorship and coachingstrong collaboration across cross-functional teamsclear technical communication and planning Apache Kafka (data streaming)AWS (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, Route 53)Aurora, RDS, NoSQL databases
