Senior Machine Learning Engineer- Generative AI (REMOTE)

Overview In this role you will design, build, and maintain AI-powered applications that leverage generative models to support product development and user value. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable AI solutions, including LLM-based features, RAG pipelines, and AI services in production. You’ll evaluate, monitor, and optimize AI systems, while creating documentation and enablement materials. This senior position emphasizes independent work and responsible AI practices, with opportunities to influence product strategy and technical direction. Responsibilities Collaborate with UX, engineering, and product management to deliver secure, scalable ML solutions Ensure quality and change control standards are met and user stories are developer-ready Automate infrastructure, monitoring, and test cases; perform destructive testing to validate resiliency Configure off-the-shelf solutions to meet evolving business needs Create dashboards, logging, and alerting to proactively address issues Participate in learning activities on modern software design and ML practices Provide application support for production software and monitor production SLAsReview code and prompt implementations to improve engineering and responsible AI practices Key requirements 3–5 years of relevant work experience Experience in Python and modern AI development frameworks Experience building Generative AI applications using LLMsExperience with prompt engineering, optimization, and evaluation Experience integrating AI models via APIs from Google, OpenAI, or Anthropic Experience with GenAI frameworks such as Google ADKExperience implementing RAG pipelines using vector databases Experience with vector databases such as Vertex AI Search Experience building conversational AI systems or AI assistants Experience with responsible AI practices including bias mitigation and safety guardrails Experience with graph databases, data mesh architectures, and scalable AI knowledge systems Experience with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and automated workflows for AI deployment Experience with monitoring, evaluation, and optimization of production AI systems Experience with Google Cloud Platform and Vertex AI, Big QueryML, and related data platforms (Big Query, Data Store)Experience with a modern scripting language (preferably Python)Experience with GPU acceleration (CUDA, cuDNN)Experience with front-end technologies (Node.js, HTML, CSS, Java Script, ReactJS, D3)Experience writing SQL queries Familiarity with HA, DR, performance, security for production systems Familiarity with cloud automation patterns for ML services Familiarity with defensive coding practices, A/B testing, REST design Familiarity with NLP, CNNs, autoencoders, embeddings Collaboration across cross-functional teams Proactive learning mindset Effective communication PythonLLMs and generative AIPrompt engineering and optimization
