Calo Capital is a growing strategic wealth planning firm based in Nashville, TN. We work across risk transfer (life insurance and annuities), retirement income planning, commercial lending, business exit and acquisition advisory, and an emerging digital asset custody offering, and we are licensed in 24 states. We are a small firm, which is the point: interns work in the office alongside the team on real client-facing projects with direct mentorship rather than sitting at the edge of the work. Interns across all tracks receive sponsorship and study support for portable credentials, including Life and Health insurance licensure and the Series 65 for those who qualify. Those licenses belong to you and outlast the internship. Interns also get working exposure to digital assets and crypto custody, cross-training across all five intern tracks, and a defined two-year track with one full-time offer at the end of it for the intern who earns it. Marketing and Sales Intern Role Description This is an in-person internship based at our Nashville, TN office at Venture X Downtown, 159 4th Ave N. Remote flexibility is earned, not given. Interns who demonstrate consistency, ownership and reliable output become eligible for a hybrid schedule. The Marketing and Sales Intern owns the top of our funnel and learns how a financial services firm converts attention into clients. Daily responsibilities include drafting and scheduling social content across Instagram and Linked In from our existing brand framework, building and maintaining email campaigns to prospects and referral partners, supporting webinar and workshop promotion from invite copy through follow-up sequences, and maintaining campaign tracking. The intern will sit in on client and referral partner meetings to learn how messaging lands in the room, and will cross-train into case design so the marketing is grounded in what we actually sell. The intern is expected to manage time effectively, communicate progress clearly, and bring ideas rather than wait for assignments. Qualifications Strong written communication skills, with the ability to write clearly for social, email, and long-form formats Comfort with social platforms and basic familiarity with scheduling or email marketing tools, or willingness to learn quickly Analytical curiosity, including the ability to read campaign data and adjust based on what it shows Good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to run multiple campaigns on deadlineA collaborative mindset, professionalism, and a willingness to take feedback and grow Enrollment in a degree program in marketing, communications, business, or a related field preferred but not required Interest in financial services, persuasion, and brand building, along with high ethical standards and attention to detail Juniors and seniors preferred.
