Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

Overview In this role you will design, build, and safeguard high-quality applications across GM's PVSQ organization, spanning regulatory compliance, safety systems, and quality engineering. You will decide between end-to-end feature work or test automation and quality engineering to ensure system reliability. You’ll deliver solutions aligned with detailed requirements while applying repeatable development methodologies. You’ll coach peers on design and quality, ensuring code aligns with patterns and standards. This position offers impact through scalable, compliant software that supports vehicle programs and regulatory reporting. Responsibilities Design and maintain back-end microservices in Java (Quarkus or Spring Boot) with REST and GraphQL APIs and versioned contracts Build front-end features in Next.js / React portal using Type Script and Apollo for GraphQLDevelop and support Databricks data workflows for regulatory reporting and dashboards Evolve relational schema safely, managing Liquibase changesets Produce clean, documented, testable code aligned with team standards Conduct code reviews and write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests (TestNG, Selenium, Browser Stack)Diagnose and resolve issues across services, portal, and data pipelines with observability tools (Datadog, App Insights)Work in CI/CD pipelines (Git Hub Actions, security scanning, promotion pipelines) to keep main releasable Translate business and regulatory requirements into executable work and drive delivery with stakeholders Lead software design for scalability and reusability from UI to database Key requirements 7+ years of production software experience with strong Java/JVM depth (Quarkus or Spring Boot)Full-stack capability spanning Next.js / React / Type Script frontend to Java backend and data layer End-to-end design ownership from UI through service to database with scalable, reusable approaches Experience designing and operating RESTful and GraphQL APIs with versioning and security practices Relational database experience (PostgreSQL or Oracle) with ORM (Hibernate/JPA) and Liquibase migrations Knowledge of data-lakehouse platforms (Databricks/Delta/Unity Catalog) for analytics Azure deployment experience: containers (Docker), Kubernetes (AKS), container registries Git/Git Hub-based CI/CD and automated security scanning Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and SDLC/Agile/Scrum experience Strong communication skills and ability to translate regulatory requirements into technical workleadership and initiativeclear written and verbal communicationorganizational ability and multi-tasking Java / JVM (Quarkus or Spring Boot)Next.js / React / Type ScriptREST and GraphQL APIs with versioning
