Oracle DB Developer

Overview In this role you will design and implement scalable data warehouse architectures and efficient data models to support enterprise data needs. You’ll enhance the platform, build new database modules, and expand data marts to enable broader data mining. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality, documentation, and engineering excellence while adopting Agile practices. This is a hands-on position that impacts data-driven decision making across the organization. Responsibilities Design logical Data Warehouse architecture and data models Implement physical Data Warehouse designs (schema, indexes, partitions)Create solutions for a high-scale data processing platform Assess current platform implementations and define action plans for enhancement Develop new Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL modules to support expansion Expand data marts to enable broader data mining across databases Maintain strong emphasis on quality, documentation, and engineering excellence Communicate effectively, solve problems, and adapt to role needs Possibly engage in reverse engineering of existing applications Operate within Agile or iterative development processes Key requirements 5+ years of systems development with Data Warehouse experience 5+ years of Oracle in Unix/Linux environments Solid understanding of data warehousing architecture High proficiency in designing and writing queries, stored procedures, packages, and functions in Oracle 11g/12cStrong scripting skills (Python, Shell)OO programming experience with C/C++/Java is a plus Background in payment processing or financial services is a plus Bachelor in Computer Science or equivalent 5+ years of relevant experience Experience with Agile methodologies or iterative development processesownershipstrong communicationproblem solving Oracle 11g/12cUnix/LinuxSQL Server
