Overview
In this role you drive wholesale sales and brand presence across assigned territory by educating and developing wholesale account teams. You’ll partner with store and district leaders to grow penetration and ensure consistent brand standards. You will lead training, monitoring metrics, and strategic store visits to boost sales, service, and customer engagement, while expanding James Avery’s footprint beyond core markets.
Responsibilities Plan and execute a store-visit cadence to maximize sales and minimize travel Produce store visit reports and use insights to guide account teams on sales, service, and brand focus Resolve in-store issues and train associates and managers to prevent recurrence Partner with Retail Management to identify opportunities for district sales and inventory turnover Analyze district performance metrics (newness, clienteling, certifications, Specialist dashboard) to hypothesize drivers of store trends Deliver training and coaching to account associates and management, aiming for shipment goals and higher IPC (items per customer)Maintain consistent brand messaging and standards across distributions; drive brand awareness in wholesale markets Lead Retail Management training seminars to articulate brand direction and opportunities to Store Managers Provide feedback to Wholesale Visual, Creative & Training Manager to improve training effectiveness and engagement Coordinate visual merchandising execution at POS and train teams on directives and planograms; support shop-in-shop and new store setups Conduct competitive reviews to inform assortments, branding, or merchandising improvements Provide administrative support for wholesale, including creating documents, expense reporting, and tracking deliveries Collect and share test photos from stores to inform field strategies
Key requirements Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing or related field; or equivalent experience 1 year retail leadership experience Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with stakeholders at all levels Proven leadership and collaboration abilities with positive demeanor under pressure Experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with strong problem-solving, organization, and time management skills Ability to learn new systems supporting Sales & Marketing activities Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Power Point; Excel (basic functions)Must reside within the assigned territory near a national airport and within 20 miles of at least one wholesale account Ability to travel up to 80%+ with overnight stays (Mon–Thu) and work on key retail holidays or events as neededinterpersonal communicationleadershipcollaboration Microsoft Word Microsoft Outlook Microsoft Power Point
