Director, Program Management

Overview In this role you will lead the BU’s programs with full P&L ownership, ensuring quality, cost, schedule and technical goals while delivering customer satisfaction. You will guide BU program managers, coach teams, and act as the primary customer contact across the program lifecycle. The role supports cross-site coordination and strategic growth for the business unit, shaping execution through governance, risk management, and lean principles. This is a high-impact role that combines leadership, finance, and program discipline to drive profitable, customer-centric outcomes. Responsibilities Own P&L and overall financial performance for BU programs Ensure program cost, schedule, and technical objectives meet targets Maintain and review Integrated Master Schedules and program plans Lead and develop BU project/program managers; provide coaching and mentoring Manage customer relationships and serve as escalation point across the lifecycle Lead risk and opportunity assessments and implement corrective actions Apply Earned Value Management and lean principles to reduce variances Coordinate program governance, KPIs, and senior-level program reviews Support S&OP planning and cross-BU coordination Capture and share lessons learned to improve planning and execution Prepare and present executive program reviews and negotiate program plans Drive stakeholder engagement and conflict resolution Monitor non-recurrent and recurring cost targets and NRE controls Oversee and guide multiple project managers across sites Report roadblocks to Executive Management Ensure governance and reporting of program KPIs and performance Key requirements Bachelor degree in any field 15+ years in program management with lifecycle expertise Expert knowledge of program management methodologies Proficient with MS Project; competent with MS Office Excellent verbal and written communication; strong leadership and interpersonal skills High ability to build relationships and manage stakeholders Strong financial acumen; ability to analyze and summarize information Business travel up to 50%PMI PMP certification desired (preferred)Engineering degree preferredleadershipcommunicationconflict resolutionMS ProjectMS Office Earned Value Management (EVM)
